Deer Hunting
The Sandhill of Northeastern Colorado are home to some giant Mule Deer. In this region there are good numbers of Muley's that feed on the irrigated corn with little pressure. Making for good conditions for these deer to grow big! These corn-fed deer have been known to grow up to 240" in this region. In the 2012 muzzleloader season I personally killed a Mule Deer scoring 203". All deer hunting is draw only in Unit (93, 97, 98, 100, 102). This is where the deer hunting takes place and all on private land.
